Our Denomination...

We are part of, the United Brethren Church in Canada denomination.

The whole idea of being a part of the body of Christ, is one of connection.

This connection brings many benefits to all our churches together. Most of our churches in Canada, are smaller than or around 100 people. Joining together allows us to do more ministry than we'd be able to do alone.

Our denomination is made up of over 600 churches in 13 countries, and it continues to grow. In Canada, the UB started their first church in 1827 right here in Southern Ontario. All the UB churches in Canada, there's 12, are located in Southern Ontario, from Fort Erie all the way up to Port Elgin.

Beliefs of the United Brethren Church in Canada

Our Confession of Faith

The confession of faith was adopted in 1815 and has never been changed. It is the single most important document we have. You could say we really try to major on the majors and minor on the minors. How do we distinguish between the two? We believe the majors are those things that are essential to salvation and faith.

Our Core Values

Our core values have changed, but have not been updated on our UB website. However, if you look in our churche's core value section, they are the same as our denominations' updated core values.

The UB Discipline

The UB Discipline gets down to the nitty gritty, or the specifics of how we operate, organize etc. The document this links to is a copy of the USA Discipline. Which is almost completely the same as the Canadian Discipline with the exception of some minor points.
