Site At Work!
Over the next while, the site is going to get a little bit of an overhaul.
The Home page has already been overhauled, as well as the Beacon page. We're not talking about major stuff, but I was looking for a cleaner and crispier look. So, the banner size and look has changed as well as the colour structure of the page. Now the task is making the rest of the site look the same.
In the future there should be more visual and interactive content, but only as time allows. One of my friends is bugging me to get on that. And he's right, but in terms of priorities, this is not number one. Although, again, as time allows I'll continue to change things.
My apologies for the two areas that have been "in construction" since the beginning. We have content, it just hasn't been put up. However, with this change that should all be looked after.
And if you don't care either way, that's fine too.

Beacon Online
Our "Beacon" is our weekly news for POG. Much like a church "bulletin" it offers weekly information for our church congregation.
From now on you can have access to the Beacons from the present month here on the site. Just click on "Beacon" in the "About us" section.

Calendar Page
There is a new Calendar page. This will help our people keep up to date with what's going on at POG.
If you'd like to let us know about something coming up that's not on the POG calendar please e-mail Information.
We will slowly be adding all the things coming up as we have time to update the calendar.

New "Resource" Page
Our desire is not only to have a site that is informative, but a site that is helpful to the spiritual development of our people.
With that in mind we have added the page Resources.
There are a lot of very good tools to be used here. Not the least of which are the "free" online courses. As well as the tools for internet control & accountability.

New to the site & Blogging
If you're new to the site, the home page has an interesting component. The middle collumn is what is called a blog. This allows us not only to post something online, but it allows "you" to respond.
Any post that has a "comments" link at the end of it is a post you can respond to, as you can see at the end of this post and the first post, where others have already commented. If you click on the comments link, it will automatically take you to a page where you can respond. It will also show you what others have said.
Please note that your comments are public and can be seen by everyone who looks at the comments. So, items of a personal nature, unless they're about you and you're comfortable sharing, should be reserved for personal conversation. Otherwise, blogging is pretty straight forward. Hope to hear what you have to say from time to time.
